Vacation Rental Cleaning Checklist

 Bedrooms

  •  Strip and replace all bed linens with clean sets

  •  Make beds neatly with hospital corners

  •  Dust all surfaces (nightstands, headboards, shelves)

  •  Wipe down mirrors and windows

  •  Empty trash cans and replace liners

  •  Vacuum carpets / mop floors

  •  Check under beds, closets and in drawers for left-behind items

 Living Room / Common Areas

  •  Dust all surfaces and electronics

  •  Wipe remote controls and light switches

  •  Vacuum rugs, sofas, and under furniture

  •  Fluff pillows and fold blankets neatly

  •  Clean windows and sliding doors

  •  Organize magazines, books, or brochures

 General Cleaning

  •  Sweep/vacuum and mop all floors

  •  Disinfect high-touch areas (doorknobs, switches, handles)

  •  Replace air filters if scheduled

  •  Check smoke alarms and batteries

  •  Ensure thermostat is reset and working

 Bathrooms

  •  Scrub and disinfect toilet, sink, shower/tub
